The formula in this build

Low-light canvas, glowing prey

Twilight blue, forest green and charcoal stay dim. Only the prey is bright, outlined in cyan or green, which cats see best. Dappled light, drifting shadows, dust motes and leaves add depth.

Stalk and pounce

Prey freezes, twitches and crawls behind grass most of the time, then bursts across the screen in a fraction of a second. Paths are horizontal or diagonal, with bursts biased bottom to top. Nothing moves toward or away from the camera.

Soft, organic sound

Dry-leaf rustles, paper scratches and bird chitters are synthesized live. Underneath: slow low strings, harp plucks and a purr bed that grows during the cool down. No music with vocals or brass.
